Assistant Manager
As an assistant manager at this franchised Massage Envy location,* you're responsible to support the manager/owner for the successful operations of the franchised location.


Principle Responsibilities include but not limited to:



+ Creating and contributing to the growth and positive atmosphere of the Spa


+ Assists management team in both strategic and day-to-day running of the Spa


+ Do bank deposits


+ Check, order and update inventories and supplies


+ Primary responsibilities are sales and customer services


+ Additional responsibilities include employee management and corporate compliance


+ Manages team to 25% spa membership closing and achieve own goal of 25% membership sale closing


+ Providing excellent service to members, guests and handle customer issues


+ Assist the payroll process (i.e. adjusting time clocks)


+ Maintaining professional and impeccable clinic environment for employees, members and guests


+ Coach and train team members including sales associates, therapists and estheticians


+ Assist in hiring employees


+ Achieving and exceeding sales and customer service goals


+ Assist the manager in conducting staff meetings or group trainings


+ Process membership freeze and cancellations


+ Be a role model for staff members in following company policy such as being on time, cell phone uses, positive culture and professionalism


+ Required to participate in company's marketing, team building, or charity events


+ Oversee shift supervisors' tasks such as suspended members and update members on credit cards and manage front desk staff


+ Understands, believes in and upholds Massage Envy's Vision and Values


+ Understands, believes in and upholds Massage Envy's Service Essentials






Requirements



+ Positive and professional attitude in any situation


+ Must pass background check


+ Able to perform multi-tasks


+ Ability to work with diverse group of employees and clients


+ Love of health and wellness services and products


+ College education or relevant work experience preferred


+ Management and sales experience


+ Ability to effectively motivate and communicate expectations to staff and create winning a team


+ Makes great decisions including when to ask for support


+ Inspirational trainer and motivator


+ Must have own transportation


+ be flexible to do the openings, closings and to work on weekend shifts (at least one weekend day a week)


+ This is a full-time position


+ Be accessible after hours and required to come in to open or close clinic when other key staff members calls out or other emergencies


+ Required to work flexible days and hours without restrictions due to other management, activities or time commitment outside of work



Compensation



+ Competitive hourly rate + commissions & bonus

+ Qualified candidates will:


Education, Skills and Training:



+ Have a college degree (preferred).


+ Have previous management, marketing, and sales experience within a service or retail industry.


+ Possess the ability to identify and solve problems, set goals and expectations, delegate responsibilities, and effectively interact with and lead staff.


+ Exhibit proficiency in establishing membership and retail sales goals and interpreting progress and trends in sales reports.


+ Be aware of and comply with all labor and employment laws applicable to employees at the franchised location including local and state licensing laws and regulations related to general business operations and licensure of massage therapists and estheticians.



Communications and Personal Interactions



+ Have a strong customer service orientation and be able to communicate effectively with members and guests, prospective clients, vendors, franchise owners, and regional developers.


+ Be able to communicate information to franchise owner and other individuals in the Massage Envy franchise network.


+ Possess excellent leadership and influencer skills and the ability to motivate and inspire staff and develop a strong team culture.


+ Maintain client confidentiality.
